Indigenous Shuar women as private entrepreneurs. Rituals of drinking Guayusa tea and their role in the everyday lives of Amazonian tribes. Ecotourism as a sustainable breadwinning strategy.

These and many other topics covered students from Masaryk and Mendel university from Brno, Czech Republic, when they visited the Bosque Medicinal project in February 2022.It was the cooperation with the Universidad del Azuay – Cuenca which allowed the students to realize research on Shuar communities and their lifestyle. We believe that these types of projects rise awareness about the indigenous Amazonians and the consciousness about the need to protect the environment they inhabit – among others by supporting projects as Bosque Medicinal.

OUR MISSION >

Bosque Medicinal is here to help humans remember the healing power of nature. We are a registered foundation in Ecuador dedicated to the preservation of the jungle in the Amazon.

The collective effort of our work is to raise awareness about the importance of jungle biodiversity and honor the world's most biologically diverse ecosystem.

Bosque Medicinal understands that caring for the world's largest source of oxygen, fresh water, and natural medicines means caring directly about the interconnection between humans and nature.
